This is one of the peices I made on my own time for fun. I really enjoy this style of art and the process of creating it is super enjoyable, so I do it fairly often.
"GOLDEN RULER", 2021, Illustrator
Sometimes the catalog that Nike offers can be limited or not have exactly what I want in terms of materials, colours, or features on a certain line of shoe. When I made this design, I was just starting work at a job where I needed steel toe boots. I had recently started getting into the bootleg sneaker world as well, learning that not every brand that isn't Nike or Adidas is a crappy brand and some small brands can actually make really good shoes based on popular sneakers. I took inspiration from the Nike SB Dunk Low and combined it with the things I liked and disliked about my own boots to make the Golden Rulers. These were a concept for a steel toe Dunk-style shoe with everything someone needs in a steel-toe shoe.
Steve Buscemi Bootleg Vintage, 2022, Photoshop
For this project I wanted to make a t-shirt inspired by old rap and RnB t shirts from the 90s. I did Steve Buscemi because I like how he isn't a handsome man but still has make a good name for himself in acting just from his skill, and I think he is an underrated actor.
Pup Soda Co. Sparkling Water Mockup, 2021, Illustrator
In my high school design class we were approached by Wolf Brewing to make a mockup of what their new sparkling water line would look like. For my design, I used a more playful font and colour palette than that of the main line of beer because it is marketed to a younger group of people. The shapes and colours are based off of more retro designs to illicit a nostalgic response.
